CARE & MAINTENANCE
Sarees are crafted with fine fabrics and delicate detailing, requiring mindful care to preserve their elegance, texture, and longevity. Please follow the care recommendations below:
Dry Clean Recommended:
For silk, art silk, zari, embroidered, printed, and heavily embellished sarees, dry cleaning is the safest and most preferred method to maintain quality and shine.
Avoid Machine Wash:
Washing machines can cause snagging, stretching, or tearing of delicate fabrics, borders, and embellishments.
If Hand Washing is Necessary:
Use cold water and a mild detergent formulated for delicate fabrics.
Avoid rubbing, brushing, or soaking the saree for a long duration.
No Bleach or Harsh Chemicals:
Strong detergents, bleach, and stain removers can discolor the saree, weaken threads, and damage zari or embroidery.
Do Not Wring:
After washing, gently press out excess water instead of twisting or wringing to prevent fabric damage.
Air Dry in Shade:
Dry naturally in a shaded area.
Avoid direct sunlight as it may cause color fading or fabric weakening.
Storage Instructions:
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light and humidity.
Fold neatly and avoid stacking heavy items on top.
Wrap sarees in muslin or cotton fabric to allow airflow and prevent dullness.
For long-term storage, refold occasionally to avoid permanent creases.
