Navratri 2026 begins on Sunday, October 11 and runs through Monday, October 19, with Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on Tuesday, October 20. Each of the nine nights is linked to a colour — and dressing in that colour, especially in a handwoven Kanchipuram silk, is one of the most-loved Navratri traditions across South India. Day 1 — Sunday, 11 Oct: Orange

Vijayadashami — Tuesday, 20 Oct
Dussehra closes the festival in traditional red and gold, marking the victory of good over evil. A classic red Kanchipuram with a gold zari border (see Day 3 above) carries the look straight through to the final day.
